Boys to men minus dad
Single mothers can raise boys just fine -- and maybe even better than
families with moms and dads, psychology professor and gender scholar
Peggy Drexler says in a new book.

I am writing in hope that someone can please give me an advice.
I am 10 weeks pregnant. It is my first pregnancy. My husband and I have
been unsuccesfully trying to get pregnant for almost two years. Then we
had 2 IUI's and the second one worked.
Sharing a room?31 Aug 2005 21:59 GMT18
Hi! Just looking for feedback from others who have experience in this
realm...
We just found out that baby #2 is going to be a girl, and we have a 28
month old son. What have been other people's experience having siblings
Retirement31 Aug 2005 19:01 GMT6
Time for me to head off, I think.  DS2 is just over 3 months old and I'm
having trouble keeping up with all my groups!
I'll be in mkb and mk if anyone wants to ask about eclampsia or PE.
Best wishes to you all!

Hi there again,
A couple of months ago I posted a message regarding my alcohol
consumption before I realized I was pregnant.
I had 3 drinks on gestation (post-conception) day 14, 4 drinks on
cervix and proprioception31 Aug 2005 17:45 GMT14
Just some reflections as I wait out these last days/weeks.
First, one of my favorite "factoids": there is a sixth sense,
called "proprioception", which is our sense of where our
own bodies are and what we're doing.  But, it doesn't seem

I'm huge, huge, huge (rantish)31 Aug 2005 01:32 GMT7
I'll be nine weeks along tomorrow, and I already feel huge. My clothes
barely fit. At this rate I'll be in those hideous jeans with the pouch
by October. Bah!
I opted out30 Aug 2005 22:36 GMT12
I decided to opt out of the early screening tests.  Since I already know I
won't have the amnio and since I'm advanced maternal age (ha!) I just felt
like the screenings would probably come back as high risk no matter what so
I'd just skip the anxiety.  :-)

Insurance Challenge: Changing Obstetric Care after 6 Months of Pregnancy30 Aug 2005 17:15 GMT2
My HMO will not allow me to change my obstetric care since I am beyond
my 6th month of pregnancy. It is due to their "global billing" process
that occurs with one bill that covers all prenatal care and delivery
sent by the ob/gyn to insurance after delivery. This is a money issue
critical screening tests during pregnancy?30 Aug 2005 02:30 GMT6
My medical provider is an HMO, and recently they had a major flood occur at
my clinic when a large pipe ruptured.  Ever since then, I have had to be
seen in whichever clinic they had available, all over the Portland metro
area.

Big Baby Story29 Aug 2005 21:38 GMT12
(sorry if this posts more than once, my ISP is going crazy!)
Sometimes I get scared that if I ever get pregnant, I'll have to run into
the woods to have my baby!
I was visiting a mom from my church that just had her 2nd baby.  When he
