Hormones?04 Aug 2005 02:52 GMT1
I'm about 22 weeks now, and just over the past couple of days have felt very
emotionally fragile and next to tears.  I feel antisocial and just want to
be at home doing my "nesting" things.  I also have inlaws coming to stay
from Germany (non english speaking) for 3 weeks and I ...
Natural Induction Help Please04 Aug 2005 01:22 GMT44
So as you know, I am now slightly past my EDD. :-( Baby is happily head down
and lowish. Today I went for a NST which showed that baby is doing fine but
there is close to nada going on with contractions. Also my cervix is long
and closed. Typically, my OB started murmuring about ...
Caffeine's effect on eggs03 Aug 2005 22:50 GMT5
Does anyone know if caffeine affects a woman's eggs?  More specifically,
will drinking a cup a day several weeks prior to trying to conceive make the
eggs less healthy?  With my first, I would give up my daily cup of tea about
2 weeks before it was time to try to conceive.  Since ...
Problem w/ toddler eating03 Aug 2005 13:15 GMT4
My 16 MO DD is starting to give me some problems when it comes to eating.
After taking several bites, she is starting to spit her food out with a look
on her face like she doesn't like it or doesn't want anymore even though
it's a food she has always liked and still likes.  I ...
Three hour GTT results02 Aug 2005 23:58 GMT8
Well, I had the 3-hour GTT test yesterday.  Damn, those pokes hurt when you
don't have food in your veins!  It didn't help that the girl who did the
pokes couldn't get it right.
Anyway, I saw my doctor after the 1-hour blood draw and before the 2-hour
TV births - why do people think a hospital/OB is necessary to give birth?02 Aug 2005 22:27 GMT105
And all else is a disaster?
I have no idea what show this is I have on... teenage-ish pg woman in
trapped in a elevator with her med school brother. EMTs have arrived.
Brother is about to 'deliver the baby', but the husband arrives (from
Contraction Timer?02 Aug 2005 21:49 GMT31
My wife is due... well, any day now... and while I feel perfectly confident to
time her contractions with my wristwatch, I wonder if there isn't something
better out there.  I had an idea for a timer that would log the length of, say,
10 contractions in a row, so that I could ...
Ow BIG bummer...02 Aug 2005 19:07 GMT5
At the check-up yesterday both kids were breech. How on earth they both
managed to turn a full 180 degrees without me noticing is beyond me. I'm
convinced I felt little feet walking over my ribs the night before, so
they must have done this trick sometime during the night.
feeling it already?02 Aug 2005 19:02 GMT10
I'm 3 to 5 weeks pregnant, and I already feel a lump low in my pelvis
when I sit in certain positions. (It's not a lump I feel with my hand,
but a sensation that I have a tennis ball in me.) Can this really be
happening? With my first pregnancy I didn't even know I was pregnant
Braxton Hicks??02 Aug 2005 09:51 GMT12
I'm wondering if this is what's going on right now...
About 4-5 hours ago, around 4pm, I felt like a cramping in my stomach.  It
did go away, but not completely.  It's now 8:37pm and I'm still getting this
bad cramping feeling.  It does seem to be more frequent, now about every
My OB and my Birth Plan02 Aug 2005 03:04 GMT48
So yesterday during my 38th week check up I gave my OB my birth plan. He
looked it over, and then appeared rather puzzled.
"I'm afraid you are missing something here, my dear," he said.
"Oh?"
Ashamed of my temper...01 Aug 2005 22:44 GMT39
Hi all...
I don't know what to do about this, but I find I'm getting unreasonably
angry at 2yo DS who refuses to go to the potty.  He had been doing very
well, but suddenly decided the potty is his enemy.  We've tried moving
34wks -- NST and unplanned OB visit01 Aug 2005 19:52 GMT17
I had my first NST today.  Wasn't supposed to have
to see the OB (not until next week, and then weekly),
but...
First, the NST shows that the baby is just fine,
