I am a lurker but I decided to come out of the shadows to ask a question

With my second child my water broke at 36.6 weeks and when I went in to the

I am completely ignorant to the pros or cons of cutting the cord immediately
at delivery.  No one ever told me there was a difference, so with my
daughter I didn't think twice about it.  I see alot of stuff posted here and
wonder if it's medically or religiously based, or what?

My daughter was originally using an infant car seat till about when she
was six months  old. Then per our pediatrician's recommendation - we
upgraded to Graco Comfort Sport Infant/toddler convertible car seat.
