male genital hygiene behaviour20 Aug 2005 05:25 GMT4
It becomes clear why the presence of a foreskin is associated with
unfortunate anti-social olfactory phenomena ... they are just not washed
often enough ... Eeeeew. That's gross!

Stay-at-home dilemma
Young men are saying they want their wives to work to provide a second
income but, at the same time, note the benefits that having one parent
at home has for the child.
water retention20 Aug 2005 04:22 GMT6
I'm nearly 6 months along now, and am starting to have swelling.  My wedding
ring spends more time off than on, and being a newlywed, I'm not really
happy about it.
When I was pregnant last time, I had extreme fluid retention, which led into
it drives me nuts....19 Aug 2005 22:50 GMT28
recently I've met several women who have had scheduled c-sections for their
first babies, for fairly intangible reasons, such as not fancying an
induction, or the baby might be too big, etc. if it were at a different
hospital in a different place I wouldn't exactly feel thrilled, ...

Sperm & ovulation timing affecting sex outcome a myth?19 Aug 2005 22:03 GMT4

The first par of this article states:
Everyone starts out female, which is humanity's "default" sex. Fetuses
that get exposed to enough androgen during a critical stage in
anaesthetic19 Aug 2005 20:10 GMT11
I'm working on my birth plan and wonder what the difference is between
general and local anaesthetics - in case of a c-section?  Which is
preferred and why?
Thanks,
Note to dads...19 Aug 2005 19:25 GMT22
It is not wise, when your wife has been protecting your sleep through 99% of
the stuff that happens between 10 pm and 5 am, to make snarky comments about
why your sleep is so much more important because you "have a job".
Especially after two days of no naps and a 5- month-old who ...
Puckered belly?19 Aug 2005 17:01 GMT2
Will this ever go away?
My girly is almost 2, I have lost a lot of weight but it seems to get
more noticable the more weight I lose.  It's like a flap of skin that
puckers in to my belly button.  I think it's disgusting, DH assures me
Timing of conception and sex of baby19 Aug 2005 00:01 GMT2
Is the thought that conception earlier in the cycle leads to a greater
likelihood of girl and later in the cycle greater likelihood of boy or do I
have that backwards?
listeria questions18 Aug 2005 21:38 GMT22
I adore bleu (or blue) cheese. Not eating it is one of the most
difficult parts of pregnancy. Now, I'm wondering... what if I cooked the
cheese? For example, a pizza topped with gorgonzola? Wouldn't that kill
the bacteria? Or putting crumbled gorgonzola in noodles, which is hot
telling a friend who's infertile18 Aug 2005 07:30 GMT10
I have a friend who's been struggling with infertility for about seven
years -- she's had one child in that time, but she'd liked to've had a
dozen. I see her once or twice a week when our kids (roughly the same
age) play together. What's the best way to tell her that I'm ...
correcting a 9-month old - help!17 Aug 2005 21:22 GMT8
Our 9 month boy's temper seems to be getting out of hand.  At first he
used to just scream if he didn't get something he wanted, now he
screams and if you're carrying him he scratches/pinches/slaps you with
both hands.  He does the same thing even when he's not "angry",
chronic back pain and pregnancy17 Aug 2005 21:11 GMT5
This is my first time posting anything, but I just don't know where
eles to look.
I am currently 5 weeks pregnant.  Just found our a day ago with a home
test.  So based on my last period I would be 5 weeks.  Here is my
pregnant-hyperthyroid-iodine17 Aug 2005 21:03 GMT6
I developed hyperthyroidism 2 and a half years ago and had been on PTU
until May of this year with my TSH & free T4 back to normal. I've got
pregnant in late June (now is 8 weeks already). I did blood test on
July 21 and got: TSH=0.02, free T4=20.2. My thyroid doctor said I
