Nesting...17 Aug 2005 01:25 GMT8
Today I felt it necessary to clean off the dark dust (from
car exhaust, maybe?) that collects on the rails (painted white)
of our front porch.
Still pg,
Weight lifting/exercise during pregnancy16 Aug 2005 23:06 GMT9
I'm not pregnant yet but am hoping to be soon.
I have really gotten into lifting weights and running over teh past 6
months and I don't plan on stopping when I get pregnant.  I know there
are some guidelines that I should follow, like maximum heart rate, no
baby shopping list?16 Aug 2005 20:43 GMT11
Is there a list somewhere of essential "starter gear" of what we'll need?
I'm afraid I'm going to go hog-wild shopping.  I have been shopping for used
items since I'm finding I can buy nearly new stuff for way way less.
So far I have:
mentruation and breastfeeding advice needed16 Aug 2005 16:57 GMT3
I am breastfeeding DD (now 14 weeks) and my ''periods'' returned at 5 weeks post partum, then 9 weeks and again at 13 weeks.
The last period lasted 9 days (normal for me is 5-7 days) and now 5 days later have returned, redder and heavier than any period since her birth.
Advice ...
bleeding at 25 wks16 Aug 2005 09:09 GMT4
Well, I had a bleeding "incident" last night at 25 wks.  Bright red
blood, like my period.  Called the hospital and they told me to come
in.  Hooked up to monitors, and everything looked fine.  By then the
bleeding had stopped (none today either).  I didn't have a lot of blood

Recovering From 1st Before Having 2nd?16 Aug 2005 02:13 GMT26
I've always wanted to have my children close together.  2 years max age
gap.  DD1 is now 6 months old.  I had a difficult pregnancy that had me
in bed for 3 months with marginal placental previa, a Cesarian, and
another non-pregnancy injury that put me off of my feet for a month.
Squatting for that extra 30%15 Aug 2005 22:55 GMT5
I went to my first Lamaze class this week with my large nation-wide HMO
and it was not nearly as bad as I had feared. The instructor didn't
talk down to us and was up front about the pain.
Todd Gastaldo will be very happy to hear that one of the first things
So much for dreams...15 Aug 2005 22:40 GMT3
Still pregnant.  At least I got a good night's sleep.
And I feel a bit silly for pinning any hopes on going
at 36w6d ;-)

pt 3, why I snagged the bag15 Aug 2005 16:47 GMT4
Okay, where I left off yesterday… I just have to make it clear that
this is where my inner evil cranky foul mouthed thoughts took over my
mind when things or people started to annoy me. For the most part I
was in my own little space zoning on the labor when the contractions

Does anyone have any guidelines on expressing breast milk, in terms of when
to start expressing, and how much (to express)
Thanks in advance,

miscarriage thread, plus anyone else who doesn't want anything further
to do with this particular addition to life's nastiness, will be able to
avoid it.)
