2.5w update30 Sep 2005 22:42 GMT4
Things are going well with DS2, though it will be interesting
to see how we settle in next week when MIL & FIL are gone
(so far, we had DH on vacation+my mom, then DH on vacation,
then DH at work but MIL around).
relatively good GBS article30 Sep 2005 15:04 GMT2
http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/awareness_campaigns/sep_gbs.shtml
apparently this week is GBS awareness week in the UK, I found this article
and it seems reasonably good, statistics are well presented and it's not
over scary

It seems Joy hasn't posted since yesterday.  Maybe
those contractions got organized and she's off having
the baby.  Here's hoping all is going well!

Cautiously, optimistically de-lurking29 Sep 2005 18:32 GMT2
I've been quite the lurker here ever since I was pg with DD1, born back
in March, 2003, and have posted a few times since then, unfortunately
mostly about m/c and the like.
A bit of background - I had the ideal pregnancy with DD1 - no morning
Feeling a big anxious about induction vs. c-section29 Sep 2005 16:07 GMT66
I shouldn't be posting, I should really be getting things DONE around here,
but this has been going on in my head the last week.
Initially, when we were given the diagnosis of spina bifida, we were told a
c-section was recommended.  It made sense what the doctor said (less chance
Single Umbilical Artery / 2 Vessel Cord29 Sep 2005 01:20 GMT13
My wife and I just returned from our 16 week ultrasound where we went
to to find out the sex of our baby and we did, a girl! However, we also
found out that she only has a single umbilical artery (SUA)/ a 2 vessel
cord.  We  are first time parents and have done some research but are
Not engaged?28 Sep 2005 20:44 GMT1
With my first 5 babies all were fully engaged 6-8 weekes before my EDD, but
this lil' madam with only 2 weeks to go isn't enaged at all but her head is
just resting there.. will she engage in labour if not before? I hope she
hasn't got a big head!
I have no control over the situation! (Vent)28 Sep 2005 16:45 GMT16
I have no control over this baby, okay? No matter how many times you
tell me that you hope it's a girl, there's nothing I can do about it.
Sheesh! My in-laws, my friends, people keep tellimng me "I hope it's a
girl." How rude. And bizarre. I would never say anything like that to ...
I find this interesting!28 Sep 2005 16:43 GMT10
Hmmmm... I think it's possible I'm having contractions.  Nothing too
noticeable or regular, though I feel quite crampy at times.  Isn't that
something??  It could go on for a week or more, I assume, but it tells me my
body is gearing up.  Imagine that!  I usually don't have ...
Question about after birth & your period...28 Sep 2005 16:04 GMT4
Just a quick question about after birth... About how long does it take to
get your period again after baby is born?  I can't remember from the last
time since it was a while back.
I know with DD, I bled for about a week or so.  Then it was completely gone

Sister had baby and I was there! 27 Sep 2005 23:50 GMT20
I was able to witness the birth of my nephew this afternoon. :)  How cool!
My sister did a tremendous job.  I was there for the last 45 minutes, and it
was quite spectacular seeing my nephew come into the world.
He's adorable, obviously, and I think he looks like a combination of ...
