My sister is having her baby!19 Sep 2005 02:06 GMT6
The girl has been experiencing prodomal labor for a good solid week and a
half.  She is finally on her way to the hospital!  I'm thinking this isn't
going to be a long labor, but then again one never knows.  I'm very excited,
though, and can't wait to meet this little munchkin!!  ...

Raffi and children's choir18 Sep 2005 19:16 GMT3
I'm not sure where else to ask this so I figured I'd give it a shot here.
My wife recalls hearing a (live?) Raffi CD many years ago when
she was a nanny that had a children's choir (it is not Raffi Live).
I couldn't find anything on cdnow.com that looked familiar.
30 years and 38 weeks18 Sep 2005 18:56 GMT26
Well, today is my birthday, and I'm 30!  I've also reached the 38 week mark
today. :)  I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone.  I still feel
like I don't have enough time.
My sister, who was due the 11th, is still pregnant after a week and a half
Appointment today18 Sep 2005 18:49 GMT9
I had my BPP and ob appointment today.  Baby is still performing great!  My
amniotic fluid levels went up!!  Woo hoo!  Instead of 6.24 it was 8.39.  I
know the measuring isn't all that accurate, but it was good to have better
numbers.  It really was a rather boring appointment ...

Where I've been...18 Sep 2005 01:36 GMT14
August 27, my husband pouhded on the wall between the living room and
the computer room to have me pick up the phone. The first thing I heard
was a doctor saying, "He's not going to make it." Within an hour or so
we had plane tickets and 7 hours later were in the air to NY state to

My Missus was due last Monday, our daughter is not here yet :(
After a terrible baby store let us down in regard to sourcing us a
pram, we have now sorted ourselves out pucker.
She was asking about keeping the baby flat; we understand that baby
weight gain pattern and concerns17 Sep 2005 04:06 GMT3
I am 30 wks today (yay!), and have not gained any weight in the past 3
weeks.  In fact, I lost 0.5 lbs this week, although it could be back
tomorrow due to water weight fluctuations.
However, I have gained 25 lbs total this pregnancy from conception to now
I'm going to make a complaint17 Sep 2005 01:41 GMT4
On Wednesday I had a meeting with a midwife/counsellor and had a look at my
medical notes, I had put out of my mind everything that had happened in the
week before Ada's birth and had tried to forget about it. The reason I went
to the counsellor was because I wanted to talk about ...
Lochia question16 Sep 2005 20:20 GMT4
In the birth prep class, they said the lochia would go from red to pink
to yellow to white.  Mine went from red to brown, more like a period.
Is this normal?  I have my postpartum checkup next week, but I'm too
curious for that.  I have no idea how to google this, either.
"Bringing Baby Home" DVD review16 Sep 2005 17:04 GMT4
Just watched this DVD with DH last night (got it from Netflix) and
wanted to let other first-time moms know about it.
http://www.netflix.com/MovieDisplay?movieid=70035492&trkid=90529
I thought it was a pretty good review of basic baby care, some birth
