spots that don't fade when pressed09 Sep 2005 20:23 GMT6
Hi -- okay, last night, 12-month-old DS2 woke to nurse and I noticed
some unusual flat reddish spots (three clustered near each other,
probably smaller than a pencil eraser each, and a couple of what could
have been very faint ones further away) on his back. Sent DH to Google
Dumb question I'm sure but will I know...09 Sep 2005 18:59 GMT11
I'm 40wk and 5days.  All last night I was having period like cramps but
slept fine.  Today the cramps have cranked it up a notch and are
lasting about 30 seconds and are happening regularly.  Will I know when
I've started having contractions - as opposed to having cramps?  The
"Parents, not pushovers"09 Sep 2005 18:55 GMT1
Parents, not pushovers
Parents are spending too much time listening to so-called "experts" and
not enough time trusting their parental instincts, says syndicated
columnist Betsy Hart.
misery: a vent09 Sep 2005 17:43 GMT25
Now, I know that I'm not suffering morning sickness nearly as bad as many
people (no puking to date), but this time is so much worse than the last
two!  I think it's partially because I'm just trying to keep up with two
kids; a little because I'm a bit older than before; partially ...
Could it be09 Sep 2005 14:57 GMT4
I have been getting like a tighening feeling down the lower part of my
tummy. Is this BH? I know I have been pregnant 3 times not but I cant really
remember feeling BHS until being real later in pregnancy like after 30 wks.
I am about 20 wks now so could it be?
ginger ale09 Sep 2005 04:35 GMT11
Ginger ale helps with my nausea, I've found -- and if it's just a
placebo, I don't want to know. I don't normally drink soda. Any
recommendations for particular brands of ginger ale? I've been drinking
Reed's extra strong, but it's too sweet and I'd like even more ginger
I'm pregnant again!!!!09 Sep 2005 04:03 GMT10
Well, I got a positive pregnancy test yesterday!  We've only been
trying for 2 months, I went off the pill exactly 2 months ago!  My 22
month old is going to be a big sister!  :)
I'm worrying about silly things now, like how many extra calories
Update on us08 Sep 2005 21:12 GMT1
All,
Well, things are cruising along here.  Taylor started preschool today (just
a one hour orientation), and then begins on Tuesday for her full class (3
hours).  She did great and had an awesome time.  It's a big class -- 32
Wedding anecdotes08 Sep 2005 20:19 GMT7
As I've posted in other threads, I did make it to the
wedding after all.  Thought I'd post a few anecdotes
for everyone's amusement.
First, I should say that the bride has been described
Quite belated birth story08 Sep 2005 16:28 GMT11
I've had a couple of requests via e-mail, so here's the birth story
for my little Noah, who was 3 months old last week (where has the time
gone???)

Taking a newborn baby home from hospital following delivery (UK)08 Sep 2005 15:13 GMT15
Once the baby has been born, how is one expected to transport the baby home
following delivery, when using a car. Is it a requirement that there is a
fitted car seat.
I assume that this is the case, but people have told me conflicting
worrying08 Sep 2005 01:55 GMT8
Does anyone experience over-worrying about if their baby will be
healthy? I'm 33 weeks and find myself worrying sometimes. I know it's
silly, but I hear these horror stories. This is my first child, which
probably has something to do with my nervousness.
pain07 Sep 2005 20:46 GMT7
I have a question about pains of pregnancy.:-) Whenever I lay on my
back, my lower abdomen starts hurting (like a spasm) and I have to
change position. This also happens when I am laying on my left side. I
also get these pains when I am sitting sometimes....
2nd baby & engaging07 Sep 2005 19:58 GMT13
i know most 2nd babies don't generally engage until labour, but when they do
engage early it doesn't mean labour is close does it? it could mean labour
is still many, many weeks away? and when they engage early, can they
"un-engage" again?
