| Hiring help | 01 Nov 2005 00:21 GMT | 16 |
Dunno if I've left this too late, I'm 28 weeks now, but I'm wondering whether I should be thinking about hiring a doula after all. Or a birthing pool. Any ideas where I should start looking, please, to find either of these?

My daughter is 8 and has been the only child all this time. Of course she's begged me for a baby brother or sister forever, but just yesterday I think the reality hit. We went shopping for the stroller, carseat, swing, crib mattress, etc. When we got home, she started acting ...

My due date has come and gone. Oh, I'm so anxious. I've been very active, walking around, vacuuming, housework - up and down the stairs, eating the things people tell you to eat to get things going. I've had pineapple, pizza, and eggplant. I'm taking evening primrose oil. My

I don't remember the insomnia being this bad last pregnancy... Between my hips and lower back hurting like the dickens, wicked heartburn, too many things on my mind, I just can't sleep. I had a horrible day yesterday, and was so looking forward to a good night's sleep. I was ...

Hello all. I was told I might be able to get some help or at least input from this newsgroup. I'm 29, I have a 4 year old boy, in fairly healthy shape. I however have been getting my period earlier and earlier each month. I've had laser surgery on my cervix when I was in my early ...

Nope, I'm not pregnant :) But I figured I'd drop in and say hi because it's been a while since I've been online. We're all doing fine. DD4 is doing better than she was last year. She's 16 months old and 16 pounds now. Huge, I know. She's already had bronchitis this fall, so ...

| Hearing baby's heartbeat with a stethoscope? | 30 Oct 2005 01:51 GMT | 13 |
I'm 24.5 weeks pregnant and at my routine checkup today I asked the nurse if, rather than use the usual Doppler, she could listen to the baby's heartbeat with a stethoscope. I said I had concerns after reading of some potential as yet unproven dangers of Dopplers and would

| One year ago today... | 29 Oct 2005 20:31 GMT | 3 |
Jessica Grace was born around 7:00am in the front seat of my freind's Jeep Cherokee outside the birthing center. I just cannot believe that it's been one year. I'm so glad I wrote down all the little details because they really are starting to fade.
