Growth spurt?18 Oct 2005 11:57 GMT6
Do fetuses have growth spurts? The last few days my appetite has become
enormous. I'm hungry ALL THE TIME. Unfortunately large meals make me
nauseated... I'd say more but I have to go make more toast with peanut
butter.
Not getting exited yet..18 Oct 2005 07:30 GMT10
..but I woke at 5am this morning wih short but strong contractions.. weird
for me as they have not started while I was in bed before!
I then started to have the shakes and the runs, and feel heavy down below. I
also have that weird feeling you get when you realise you may be in
wife pregnant, 9mo old with virus18 Oct 2005 01:55 GMT9
Wed AM my 9 month old woke up with a temp of 101, by 9pm
it had climbed to 103 and tylenol didn't seem to be helping.  We
ended up taking him to the ER where he was 104.2.  Doctors
didn't seem concerned and sent us home with instructions just
Cord Blood Banking?18 Oct 2005 00:49 GMT15
I'm wondering if I should bank my baby's cord blood. Does anyone have
any comments? I just don't want to wish I had done it if I don't do it.

How old is he?17 Oct 2005 17:31 GMT4
Not sure if this has been answered.  Our boy was born on April 25th, 2005.
When people ask "How old is he?", we really don't know how to answer.  Do
you go by weeks (25 weeks old), or the number of weeks and turn it into
months (25 weeks-would be 6 months+) or do you count from ...
Is a breast pump same as feeding....17 Oct 2005 13:12 GMT12
Can anyone tell us if using a breast pump stimulates the same as direct
feeding?
We have an 9 day old fantastic placid little girl. My wife has always had
sensitive nipples.....they have always been a no go area for me. Any
breast pumps?16 Oct 2005 19:34 GMT14
It's going to be awhile before our baby makes his or her appearance,
but our plan is to make use of a breast pump so that the dad can do
some feeding too.
Having never been pregnant, I've obviously never used one before. Does
Shiny Piccys16 Oct 2005 07:50 GMT28
The good news is that at almost 7 months, Miss Shiny's still cute and is
learning to sit for longer and longer periods before she lunges over. The
bad news is that she has gained zero weight in two weeks and now we have to
take action. Wah. The doc is going to want her on high ...
best way to counter heartburn?16 Oct 2005 03:47 GMT8
I'm just now starting to experience wicked heartburn.  I have it from the
time I wake up until I go to bed.  I'm pretty careful about what I eat, so
it's not dietary.  I have tried Rolaids softchews, the active ingredient is
calcium.  They taste really good, but I don't think ...
Lauren's Birth Story - so very long16 Oct 2005 01:41 GMT11
She's a month old already but I've finally finished her birth story.
Seems very long and also feels like I'm missing so many vital points.
Awe well, this will have to do as life must go on.

So strange?15 Oct 2005 18:28 GMT4
Well today is my due date.. I have had loss of mucus and a few pains but
nothing much. I am finding this weird as with my last two by now I was in
agony with latent labour. I had my others a day or so after the due dates.
With this little Girl I don't even feel 40 weeks pregnant ...
iced tea and toddlers15 Oct 2005 18:15 GMT24
My inlaws think that I am being unreasonable when I ask them not to give
my 2 1/2 year old tea.  These are the same people who feel she can have
candy as well, and that it's their right to do so because they're her
grandparents.  My husband and I agree on this issue, but of course ...
relaxing15 Oct 2005 12:53 GMT10
What do you do to relax?
I've been very tense the past week (my son is having problems at
preschool), and the ways I'd normally kick back aren't possible right
now: having a stiff drink, taking a hot bath, running away to Mexico...
