Announcing the arrival of....31 Dec 2005 19:59 GMT10
Hoping you've all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas.
Sophie Jade Lee arrived Boxing Day morning weighing 7 pound 8 ounces and is
nursing really well (milk came in 36 hours after she was born and plenty of
colostrum before that, so Sophie's a happy lassy!).
Standard prenatal testing in U.S. (loss ment, and ranting -- sorry)31 Dec 2005 15:13 GMT25
DH and I were up late into the night talking about the passing of our
little niece Christmas Eve.  It's becoming more "real" to us, and it's
starting to sink in enough that it's also making us even more concerned
about our little boy -- as you may recall from my posts last week, we
What is clomid?31 Dec 2005 04:31 GMT3
I know you are probably just all gonna tell me to google for it but seeing
as though some of you have used it I thought I would get the information
from the horses mouth so to speak (btw .....i'm no implying any of you are
horses...lol)
scars slow to heal?30 Dec 2005 17:28 GMT5
I have quite a few small scars on my legs from a few months ago. Nothing
dramatic, just bug bites that got big. The weird thing is that they're
not healing. Pre-pregnancy, they would've been gone within a week or
two; now they're still dark red patches. Is it a common pregnancy ...
tampons and m/c30 Dec 2005 15:37 GMT7
I had a m/c over the weekend and am still bleeding.  We have friends in
town, my kids are out of school for the holiday break, and we had lots
of fun plans to go to the pool, beach, camping, etc.  I've read that
tampons should be avoided following m/c - how strictly should this
Co-sleeping with newborn: must I go without pillow and duvet?30 Dec 2005 05:45 GMT8
I plan to co-sleep with my baby, just as my mother co-slept with me and
my sister when we were little.
>From what I've been reading, the safest thing to do is sleep on a bare
mattress, warmly dressed, but with no duvet or pillows.  At least that
Checking In29 Dec 2005 22:28 GMT2
I haven't been here in so long but I wanted to stop in and say hello!
Things are going great around here.  I'm so in love with my new baby girl,
she's such a wonderful, happy baby.  Annabelle will be 3 months old
tomorrow, and she's slept through the night for the past 2 nights!
Depo Question29 Dec 2005 20:29 GMT8
I was supposed to have my Depo Injection done in August of this year.  I did
not have it done as my partner and I decided that we wanted to start trying
for a baby. I have had one period since which started about 3 weeks ago but
I am not sure if it was a "proper period" or not as ...
Switching from hospital to midwife care29 Dec 2005 02:06 GMT11
I've finally made arrangements with a midwife both my husband and I
like, and I'm switching over to her for my prenatal appointments and
the birth itself (it'll be a homebirth if all goes well).  I am now in
my 33rd week and was wondering what sorts of routine hospital tests I
Pregnancy, Pelvic Joint Pain and Chiropractors28 Dec 2005 18:53 GMT7
I'm currently 7 months into my first pregnancy and have been
experiencing pelvic joint pain for about a month now.  I have the
standard symptoms, such as pain when changing positions in bed, pain
when walking, going up stairs, putting on pants (standing on one leg),
Anyone here use Fertility Blend while TTC?28 Dec 2005 16:04 GMT4
Question pretty much says it all.  I'm ttc, and thinking about giving
them a large wad of my cash.  Should I?  Any experiences yeah or nay?
Thanks!  Yellowgirl
Time to conceive? (poll)28 Dec 2005 15:52 GMT3
I created a poll to see how long it took most people to get pregnant.
I'd appreciate it if you could spend a few secs and take it:

I can share the final results when enough people have taken it.
Stitch in the side28 Dec 2005 00:39 GMT4
Well...yesterday was my EDD. And yesterday after breakfast I got a
major stitch in my right side. From about an hour after breakfast for
about 6 hours. Then it went away like it never existed. This morning,
an hour after getting up, it's come back. It's very owie, but I don't
Does everyone have mixed feelings?27 Dec 2005 19:33 GMT16
I got a positive test result yesterday.  I didn't really need the test
since I already knew.  I've been through this before and the symptoms
were unmistakable.  I wanted the test to be positive but as soon as I
saw the "+" sign appear, I freaked.  "Oh my god, I'm not ready for
Breast Milk Expressing27 Dec 2005 16:50 GMT12
Ok, this is kind of vain I suppose - please forgive me.
At one of the antenatal classes we've been going to they were explaining how
to express by hand - kind of like milking a cow.  Now I grew up on a farm
and milking cows was one of my jobs and I can only imagine that expressing ...
