weighty question04 Dec 2005 02:53 GMT12
Here's a hypothetical question. If a pregnant woman has the same diet as
she did before she got pregnant, does the same amount of exercise, etc.
will she gain weight anyway due to a slowed-down metabolism?
Just pondering...
Is this normal03 Dec 2005 23:30 GMT3
Hi Again
I am sure your all gonna get a bit fed up with me so I appogise. I had a
breezy early pregnancy apart from the blood loss thing but other than that I
did not suffer much from morning sickness or the normal stuff. HOWEVER I
Breastfeeding with Raynaud's syndrome (also called vasoconstriction)03 Dec 2005 19:20 GMT7
I know this is a pregnancy news group but I know you girls (and guys -
hi Larry) are really good at some of this other baby stuff.....
My friend is due soon with her second baby.  With her first she had a
lot of problems breastfeeding.  Her baby was 6 weeks early, she had a
How to decide on vaccination?03 Dec 2005 18:41 GMT6
I met a mum of a 3.5 year old autistic boy the other day and she says
he was normal till age 1 when he was given several vaccines at once,
and the next day he stopped talking and looking people in the eye, and
became a completely introverted little boy.  He's been undergoing
stupid question prehaps03 Dec 2005 15:07 GMT6

labour can you still feel the odd baby movement or not???
I cant remember
Yet another question....03 Dec 2005 13:34 GMT2
Due to some unforseen circumstances, I was not able to use my patches
this month. Does this mean I will ovulate or does the fact that I had
to skip this month mess up my ovulation? I know this seems like a
stupid question, but I wasn't sure how fertile you might become once
Another one03 Dec 2005 04:03 GMT2
Just had another contraction type thing where I had to stop everything, not
sure if this is the real thing or not......
June 6 birthday paranoia, anyone?03 Dec 2005 03:06 GMT37
I just had my second OB visit this morning, and although the doctor has
still refused to do a dating ultrasound (she FINALLY scheduled one for
12/21 after much begging and pleading), I'm now measuring about 15
weeks, which bumped up her estimate of my due date from June 4 to May
Hot/Warm Baths?03 Dec 2005 03:05 GMT28
I'm newly pregnant (with #2) and at 4 weeks, I took a pretty warm bath.
The water was probably about 100-101 F and I was in for about 20
minutes.  I knew that hot baths were to be avoided, but since this
wasn't the really hot temperature I normally go for, I didn't think it
Crawling concern/question03 Dec 2005 01:44 GMT10
my 8 month old has begun to army crawl around. however, I noticed that he
generally only uses his left leg to propel himself.  my kid doesn't use his
right leg to crawl despite the fact that it seems as good as the left. is
this a normal thing that other parents have seen in there ...
nearly there02 Dec 2005 18:56 GMT14
Well I am so glad this pregnancy is nearly over, I know I still have 8 weeks
to go but I cant wait for it to be over. I am so uncomfortable and have even
started to feel more uncomfortable in bed. I am also getting this acidy
feeling in my throat at night, I dont really suffer from ...

Books on pregnancy01 Dec 2005 23:16 GMT21
What's the most informative and least biased pregnancy book out there?
Do they all assume an American audience?
Has anyone used Cord Blood Banking?01 Dec 2005 22:53 GMT4
I'm due with my third baby in June and I am interested in cord blood
banking.  I heard that it can be very useful in the future of your baby
and relatives because the stem cells can treat diseases.  Has someone
done this before?  How was your experience? I am very interested.
um, did my water just break?01 Dec 2005 21:33 GMT8
And here I thought it would be so obvious - it sure was last time.  Major
gush in bed.  But this time, I was on the toilet having a bm, and I felt
this almost *pop* sensation and then a gurgly feeling from my vagina and
liquid came out.  But I can't say with 100% certainty that ...
