I just found out I am pregnant.  I am scheduled to have xrays of my mouth at
the dentist.  Will this harm the baby?
poll: weird fears19 Dec 2005 22:10 GMT10
What's the weirdest pregnancy fear you have? Mine -- and this isn't
really a "fear," but just something I like to ponder -- is what I would
do if little TK isn't a boy or a girl, but somewhere in between.

Question about shingles contagion19 Dec 2005 19:15 GMT6
We're going back East for Christmas, and just found out that DH's aunt has
shingles (she'll be with us for a few days out of the week).  I'm getting
conflicting advice about how contagious it is.  I *thought* that it was
contagious if you come into contact with the weepy stuff (ie ...
Carrier Question19 Dec 2005 19:12 GMT24
My husband and I talked the other day and he's currently a little
worried about carrying the baby through a crowded place.  He's nervous
about 1) dropping the baby and 2) bumping the baby into things.  We
have a convertible carseat, so we can't use it as an infant carrier.  I
Questions for just laboured mums19 Dec 2005 18:32 GMT27
Ok I know there is lit out there all over the place but I would like some
feedback from the horses mouth, shall we say.
My question is this:

difficult birth?19 Dec 2005 18:23 GMT13
At my rheumatology appointment on Wednesday I was suprised to hear the
doctor say, something along the lines of "so, you've had pelvic and lower
back pain since the birth of your child" (nods) "which was a difficult
birth, wasn't it", I responded with surprise, she came out the ...

what is going on with my skin?19 Dec 2005 03:35 GMT2
Just gave birth on Sunday last week.  I've never suffered from dry skin
before, and now I have patchy areas from my elbows to shoulders that are
scaly and ITCHY.  My stretch marks itch really bad too, but I remember that
from last time.  Should I just use my Palmer's stretch mark ...
The Most Stupid Thing Ever Heard (OT)18 Dec 2005 23:20 GMT3
I was listening to the radio today and it was a program where people call in
to voice their opinion. In this case, it was about the fact that the US
ambassador to Canada has just given a scolding to our PM Paul Martin for his
constant criticism of the Bush administration since ...

Well done "Shortland Street"18 Dec 2005 08:02 GMT1
I watched the end of our local soap opera the other day.  I'm not sure
of any of the events leading up to this moment but what I saw was a
lady giving birth at home (not planned - but oh well) on her knees
leaning on the back of the sofa.  And the baby they showed was real and
Daddy to Be Christmas Presents18 Dec 2005 02:49 GMT3
This is our first baby, and I was thinking of getting something for DH
that is for the Daddy to Be. I thought there would be desk calendars or
books or SOMETHING targeted at new daddies, but everything seems to be
geared toward the mommies. I haven't seen anything suitable out there
On not keeping a pregnancy journal18 Dec 2005 02:05 GMT9
I always thought pregnancy journals were cheesy, and when I received
