Thought I'd write a little update since it has been so long since I've done one here. As you'll probably recall I had a reasonably early miscarriage back in March last year and since then I've had quite a few suspected chemical pregnancies.

I seem to recall that you're supposed to wash all of the baby's clothing and bedding before using it for the first time. Is that overkill, or do you think it's necessary? And if necessary, what sort of detergent should I use?

My back hurts when I walk. Really low down -- my tailbone, I guess. Walking makes it worse, but I love going for walks and don't want to stop. I remember that this is a really common pregnancy problem, but I don't remember what the cure is. Any advice?

Hard to type with a new babby draped over my shoulder but thought you might like to know the new arrival has, er, arrived. Baby girl, no name as yet, born in the wee hours of monday morning, a cutie of course. I like her a lot.

I know this sounds really bad but I am scared to have a bath at the moment....I had baby Joanna Wednesday night, birth story to follow this post. Had a bad labour and eneded up tearing badly and had stitches, unfortantly I do not have a shower at home so its bath or strip wash
