40 week update04 Feb 2006 05:39 GMT8
Well - I'm still pregnant!!
It's the height of summer and I'm not enjoying it too much right now.
I need a swimming pool to wallow in.
My midwife has just visited and everything is still looking good.  The
Late period question...04 Feb 2006 03:39 GMT8
Sorry for dropping in like this (I haven't been here in a few years!) but I
figure that this was a good forum to ask this question:
I am usually *very* regular.  From the time I was 11, I've been an
every-28-days-kind-of-gal.  With my first two children (and the other four

HI peeps
Sorry about all the questions I am asking recently and I hope you dont mind
but is it normal for the vaginal discharge to get heavier again after it

Magazine writer Looking for Stories03 Feb 2006 17:56 GMT21
Hi. I'm a magazine writer, contributor to a wide variety of magazines:
Family Circle, Parenting, BusinessWeek, Smithsonian, Sierra. I have an
assignment from American Baby magazine to find three compelling birth
stories. I'm not looking for "I had my baby in the back of a cab"
April and Joanna's story03 Feb 2006 17:29 GMT50
I don't get it. Are you all telling me that in the UK a newborn baby can be
removed from it's parents without any major direct risk (I'm sorry - PND at
17 is not what I'd call high risk), and the parent doesn't get more access
than two hours a day for 5 out of the week and there ...
UPDATE03 Feb 2006 14:53 GMT18
Court went really well today, social worker didnt turn up which looked
really bad on him and there was a lot of BS in his statements which most
people spotted including people from his team. Got to have the psyciatrist
assessment before anything will be decided about residential ...
muscle toning and childbirth/fetal positioning03 Feb 2006 14:09 GMT5
As someone who hopes to be able to safely and successfully VBA2C in the
future, and is currently about a month into some serious exercise and
weight loss, I am interested in especially focusing on muscles that
help in childbirth. I don't know how relevant the external anatomy is

breasts to keep them soft and moisioned to try and avoid getting sore
nipples. Is it safe to use stuff like baby lotion or a cooling gel which I
have from Avon as the proper stuff seems quite expensive????

hysterosalpinogram not so great02 Feb 2006 18:04 GMT12
I had mine today and it was not great,...after they got all the stuff
in place they found out that their gizmo to inject the liquid did not
work so we had to do it all over again.  I am feeling upset at the
results but maybe is just also adrenaline going down.  One of my tubes
Flipping the car seat02 Feb 2006 16:47 GMT6
I know you *can* put your kid in a front-facing carseat once they're a year
and twenty pounds, and that you *have* to face them front once they're
thirty pounds (at least for our seat, the Evenflo Triumph).  But in the
20-30 pound range, is it just as safe or even safer to keep the ...
Interesting research on effect of working conditions on pregnancy02 Feb 2006 15:50 GMT3
Shamelessly lifted from Midwifery Today newsletter:
A University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill study of 1900 pregnant women
examined the effects of the women's work schedules on pregnancy outcome.
The women described work conditions such as number of hours a day they
