Spotting (very little) at 30 weeks -- OB visit a good idea?22 Mar 2006 22:37 GMT5
I'm about 30 weeks, and I just saw a tiny bit of blood on the tissue
after I went to the bathroom.  It's not much -- no bigger than a pencil
eraser.  But I didn't have any spotting with DD.
I called my OB, and his nurse said it was up to me whether I went in or
T-shirt for those at the "Is she really pregnant and not just fat" stage  ;-)22 Mar 2006 21:12 GMT3
My mother just sent me a maternity T-shirt just saying "Yes, I am!"
Just thought that was kind of cute.
;-)
All the best,

Hi S.
I understand where you are coming from, but have hesitated to post. I'm pg
for the third time, unexpectedly. My children are older, both at school.
I've just finished college, and for the first time since the children were

Anyway,  I am 31 1/2 weeks pregnant with #5 due G-d willing May 21.  I
have been having some pressure and cramping in the bladder area but its
not burning when I go to the washroom. I do have a cystocele and

How are all the almost-almost-theres?  :)  Knee-deep in childbirth
classes?  Waking up a zillion times at night, have to pee more often?
Take some video of those alien-baby-earthquake kicks and tumbles, if you
can catch them.  Any belly hiccups?  Those are the best.  How's life
3rd time the charm?22 Mar 2006 09:24 GMT2
Hello.  I have had two miscarriages, and I'm now pregnant for the third
time.  I haven't had a successful pregnancy so I'm not sure how to read
the signs.  I had some weird cramping the other night which (not to be
too descriptive here, but) traveled down the length of my vagina.  ...
DH and sleep22 Mar 2006 00:45 GMT20
I'm just wondering how those of you with DHs (or DWs!) that work long hours
manage the sleep issue...
Our little girl is due in June, and will be sleeping in our room... However,
poor beloved works long hours, and can be away from home 15 hours on some
SPD and update at 28 weeks21 Mar 2006 23:43 GMT2
Well, I saw the ante-natal consultant today, she agreed with my thoughts on
SPD, saying that she is worried my left hip (previously undislocated) is
also getting weaker, but also more stiff. She has referred me for urgent
physio, hopefully in the next week or so, so that I can get a ...
Concerned about vegetarian pregnancy21 Mar 2006 11:44 GMT4
I have been a vegetarian for six years and I'm planning on having my
first child soon. I am worried about maintaining my vegetarian diet
during pregnancy because I heard that babies born to vegetarian mothers
can be underweight. Has anyone had experience with a vegetarian
The Waiting Room20 Mar 2006 05:43 GMT15
I had a rather important appointment to meet someone yesterday at 10 am
(not a doctor's appt).  It was 10:10 am and she still wasn't there.
She didn't call and have the secretary tell me she was running late.
Nothing.  So I left.  Simple.  She didn't keep the appointment, so I

Testing for Gestation Diabetes - how relevant is it, really?20 Mar 2006 02:35 GMT16
I understand the standard method is to drink a high sugar drink and
basically shock the system, then test blood levels to determine how
well the body tolerates glucose. Is that correct?
But, how relevant is that really, if one never consumes such sugar in
Wrongful Birth? - article on prenatal testing and termination20 Mar 2006 01:19 GMT19
I found the following article from the NY Times Magazine very interesting
from a bioethical standpoint.  It may hit home more closely for some of you.
