contraception question08 May 2006 18:03 GMT6
Obviously, nearing the end of my pregnancy, I am beginning to think about
what contraception I will use afterwards. (scary how close its getting! I
made the last series of midwife appts today! Didn't want them to get booked
up in the last few weeks!)
varicose veins - 10w pregnant08 May 2006 17:21 GMT8
My wife is 10w pregnant. She developed Varicose Veins during 9w. First
we did not realize that it is varicose vein. We thought it was a normal
leg cramp. But now the pain is not bearable by her, especially in the
evening. She can't even walk and climb steps. We had our first OBGYN
help with names08 May 2006 09:39 GMT7
We are due to have a son in June but cannot decide on a name.  We have
very different tastes.  The following are some names we are both
lukewarm on (and that's the best it gets).  I thought we could solicit
opinions from strangers since our relatives and friends are all "too
First Doctor's appointment08 May 2006 07:05 GMT4
I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday and honestly my doctor looked
as excited as I felt. I took in the pregnancy tests and and she of course
offered another test if I wanted to do it. I said no thanks to that and she
was fine with that because the tests I showed her were ...
Help for a friend (loss mentioned)08 May 2006 00:50 GMT4
Hello everyone - I know I've been incommunicada lately . . . haven't
even been lurking. We moved to Peru in January and that has pretty much
been all-absorbing ever since.
I wanted to ask anyone who has lost a baby in the later part of a
Spotting07 May 2006 18:00 GMT3
Wife has experienced bleeding--spotting?--during pregnancy. It is in 9-10
weeks. She did go to emergency room Thursday. No heartbeat was detected with
that tummy thingie (sorry if I sound like I don't know anything), blood
tests also inconclusive, but an ultrasound did show a ...

appendix scar06 May 2006 21:42 GMT1
Just a quick question...
Two years ago, I had my appendix out. The hospital messed it up a little,
leaving a mild hernia, which was due to be fixed, but then I fell pg. They
also left quite a bad scar.
I am concerned about the odor I put out06 May 2006 19:08 GMT5
I am 11 weeks pregnant and since I found out I have had a bad odor and
have had to clean myself many times through out the day. Is this normal
or should I see my doctor about it?
Kinda long, but very funny.06 May 2006 16:28 GMT6
This was posted on another NG that I frequent.  I had to share.
Grocery Shopping with kids...
"Alright, Buddy, let's get you into the shopping cart.
"No Honey, you can't ride in the cart."

Joanna wearing this type of shoe until she is a little older at least
standing or walking based on research ect. I wrote in the ...
more on that complaint05 May 2006 23:33 GMT5
Well, as I thought, the next step will be a face to face meeting, which will
take some time to arrange. My concern is that the people at the meeting will
not be the right people in the same way that the people who were consulted
to form the response were not the right people. For ...
Any ideas for improving my chances?05 May 2006 16:52 GMT1
I know this may not go down well with a lot of people.  I have just turned
50. I married in my 40's and  thought I probably would not have children
because I was too old.  We have used contraception. However, I keep seeing
that older women and even post menopausal women are having ...
