Too much gained weight?30 Jun 2006 22:14 GMT1
I had my 31 week checkup recently and discovered that I am 159 lbs.  I
started at 118 at 5'2".  Is this *way* too much weight?  The doctor didn't
seem concerned about it.  During my first pregnancy, I only gained a little
over 30 lbs.  Is it normal to gain more in future ...
A soapy taste30 Jun 2006 21:27 GMT7
I have had a weird soap-like taste in my mouth all day. At first I thought
there was something wrong with the water at work but it hasn't gone away
since I left work 5 hours ago. Eating dinner (chicken and veges), drinking
orange juice and pigging out on gummy bears have not ...
My mom thanked me for telling her *not* to come to the birth30 Jun 2006 14:56 GMT7
Some of you may recall I had asked my mom not to travel here (she lives
in CA, I'm in TX) for the birth, and preferably to wait til 6-8 weeks
so that she can be here at a more useful time, as I transition back to
work. She was ok with that, respected our wishes.

Baby Shower Registry29 Jun 2006 23:12 GMT18
Is there anyone else out there, that is not necesarily gun ho about
registries?  I don't think there is anything wrong with them if you
want or need specific things.  I have all the "needs" stuff already
purchased for the baby.  I just need the fun things like Blankies and
Is my 17 month old son autistic?29 Jun 2006 18:43 GMT13
I have 6 children, the youngest of whom is 17 months. There is a big age gap between him and my second youngest child who is 8 years old. My son has a different father to my older five children.
I think he might have autism because he is so far behind the other children. He was ...
How to teach a picky eater to eat?29 Jun 2006 17:11 GMT4
My daughter 19 months will not eat anything that is mushy. In general
she prefers finger food.
Like she will not eat yogurt, mac&cheese or for that matter even
toasted bread - if we spread butter on it - she will not eat but she
I feel cramping :(29 Jun 2006 00:39 GMT2
Since this evening, I've been getting some cramping that is getting somewhat
annoying.  Just wondering if it's normal and to be expected...
It's a constant cramping, and I'm 23 weeks and this cramping feeling is
starting to drive me nuts.  It started earlier this evening.  We all ...
DSQ Prefolds - initial washings28 Jun 2006 18:11 GMT3
I know I have to wash these in hot water a few times before using, but
do they need to be dried in a dryer or do they get the same result from
line drying?
I know line drying is good for them once they're in regular use, just

3D ultrasound28 Jun 2006 07:11 GMT10
Has anyone had one of these? What was your experience like? I'm guessing
different companies give different services and quality, but I'm just
generally curious.  I have mine scheduled for Thursday... so we're finally
going to know the sex for sure! :)
1st pregnancy - saying hi!28 Jun 2006 04:12 GMT19
I used to lurk in this group around 4 years ago and am just now pregnant
with my 1st (due in September!)
I recognize a lot of the names here from that time, which is nice to see
that people stick around for so long. :)  I've also noticed the lack of a
glucose screen28 Jun 2006 01:24 GMT4
Am I required to fast before the 1hour glucose screen?  How long and what am
I allowed to have during that time frame?
I'm sure the doc probably told me this, but I can't for the life of me
remember whether or not she told me to fast... I'm assuming yes.
