Apparently mothers who take ACE inhibitors for high blood pressure during pregnancy are at are at risk of their child being born with birth defects. This seems to cause brain and heart birth defects in the children. If you go to http://www.lawyersandsettlements ...

| What's so special about a Diaper Genie or similar products? | 27 Jun 2006 14:46 GMT | 12 |
- ie, as opposed to a regular old trash bin with lid + liner. We'll be using cloth, so will have to have *something* to put dirty nappies in for a few days before wash. Are any of these special diaper pails worthwhile in terms of odor control?

| Argh... Too much stress... Kinda ranting... | 27 Jun 2006 09:38 GMT | 9 |
It's just past 1am, and I feel so tired that I'm almost not tired... Spend yesterday at a crappy, tacky, hillbilly wedding for SIL - bad news there all around as far as I'm concerned. Left DS at my parents' place, as the night before I was up ALLL night with a 5yo who had an ear ...

| hello I'm new | 26 Jun 2006 22:57 GMT | 2 |
I am currently 21 weeks pregnant with twin girls! We found out it was twins when I was just 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. We found out it was girls just a couple weeks ago and let me just say that we were really hoping it was girls due to the fact that we have 3 boys and a girl already!

boy. Not entirely sure, but as she was feeling around for all the location of the body parts, she had a startled "oh!" Then stopped, caught herself and said "you don't know what you're having, right?" I said no.

| Protien In Urine | 25 Jun 2006 15:07 GMT | 6 |
I was wondering if you ladies can give me some input. I had my 18 week standard/routine appointment last Friday and they said I had a very slight amount of protien in my urine. I asked about pre-enclempsia(sp) and she said not to worry, that it was perfectly normal to have a trace

| need to vent- jerky people who ram shopping carts into very pregnant women | 23 Jun 2006 22:42 GMT | 14 |
I'm not sure why I'm so upset about this- maybe just since I'm 37 weeks and can hardly walk from sciatica/ back pain etc......but I've been tearful and furious all evening. Earlier today I went out alone with DD (almost 2) even though I've been having a hard time getting around.

| New mother, being different, have questions! | 23 Jun 2006 21:20 GMT | 14 |
Hello! I'm 21 and expecting in November. I will be a SAHM as long as we can afford it. Unlike any family members or friends of ours who have given birth within the past 10 years or so, I plan on breastfeeding and using cloth diapers. Those seem like the best choices for a variety of

| Bedtime Feed Baby Rice Dilema - Please Advise!!! | 23 Jun 2006 04:03 GMT | 10 |
I've been to see the HV today to get my 16 week old weighed etc. I mentioned to the HV that I was adding a little baby rice in to his last bottle of the day. From the HVs face, you'd think I'd just admitted to poking baby in the eye with red hot needles!!!!

| 40w 5d Update | 23 Jun 2006 00:42 GMT | 22 |
Well, I saw my midwife today. She didn't do the membrane sweep again today, thank goodness. To be honest, I had been dreading it since the consultant tried it last week. She didn't do anything internal at all, but said the baby's head is now

| sleeping positions | 22 Jun 2006 22:26 GMT | 1 |
This might be a silly question, but I'm asking it anyway. I'm 27 weeks and I've read that the baby can now tell the difference between upside down and right side up. I know the baby is currently kind of transverse, with her head on the left side of my belly. When I went to bed ...

| "Maybe MOM" dead after 4 days | 22 Jun 2006 21:51 GMT | 4 |
This is my first post on this topic. I'll be turning 40 this fall, and am trying to get pregnant for the first time, and need all the help we can get. A friend told us about an ovulation microscope. You put some of your saliva on a small lense, let it dry, then look at the
