how it went31 Jul 2006 18:26 GMT1
This morning we met with the obsetrician and midwifery manager to discuss
our complaint.
It was emotional for me, but I was able to remain in control and though it
was painful, the expression of those emotions did not adversely affect how
Can you due date answer how many weeks are you pregnant?31 Jul 2006 13:06 GMT5
There is something that is confusing me and too be honest, scares me a
little bit. When my wife got pregnant, based on her menstrual cycle,
she got a due date of Feb 27th, based on May 20th, her first day of her
last menstrual cycle. When we went for the ultra sound on July 18th,

Thanks for all the good wishes.  Sorry that I haven't posted sooner.  Been
doing some computer stuff and trying to catch up.
Long story short (or long!), the appointment went fine.  We're keeping
Taylor off the meds and going to see what happens.  The neurologist had been
Oh no, I don't think I can do this30 Jul 2006 19:13 GMT4
Finally, after much rescheduling we are due to be meeting with the
complaints team, obsetrician and womens services manager at 9.30 Monday

I've just reread the response to my original complaint, I thought I would be

My wife is pregnant with our second child. Last night she had bad nack
cramps. Shes had mild cramps the whole way and had a UTI. This morning
she had some minor spotting which got a little heavier as the morning
went on. We went right to the ER thinking the worst but the baby is

with the syndrome I have, local anaethestics don't work properly, I've had
epidurals and I do get relief from contractions, I presume from the opiate
they put in there, but without getting a mobile epidural I am still mobile
without assistance and could feel muscloskeletal pain, ...
Synagis and RSV29 Jul 2006 05:48 GMT8
Given DD's lung issues now (they are in ok shape, but somewhat damaged
by the ventilator making her more susceptible to respiratory
infections), my boss (who is the director of health as well as a pedi)
recommended Synagis once RSV season approaches
Why can't I control my laughter??29 Jul 2006 03:23 GMT3
Does anyone else find the stupidest of things to be unusually funny???
I was reading the local forsale newsgroup a moment ago, and someone was
selling a computer desk...
The subject plainly said, "FS: Computer Desk c\w huts..."
2 weeks old tonight!28 Jul 2006 21:54 GMT13
And what a difference 2 weeks has made. It's hard to believe it still.
We're making progress on feeding. I called the lactation consultant
this am to discuss the whole bottle feeding thing and she agreed it was
pointless, went to talk to the doc, who also agreed (I think it was the

Not sure how many of you will remember me.  I have 2 kids, Laszlo is 4 and
Lily is 2.  I am expecting number 3 in January.  I tried for years to get
pregnant with my first, ended up doing several cycles of injections with
IUI.  I have PCOS.  Lily came on her own and this ...
Is this a good Idea??? Help28 Jul 2006 13:43 GMT5
I just misscarried my twins this past week. I am feeling ok, but still
wonder how things would have been with them. I have a wonderfull
support team. I am now feeling ok about the whole thing and I am ready
to move on and put my thoughts into haveing a new baby. I have
how did you feel getting pregnant and knowing it would end in a c-section?27 Jul 2006 09:24 GMT38
an odd question I know, and probably only applies to if you've had one by
c-section and anymore have to be too (for whatever reason), but is there
anyone out there who got pregnant knowing they had to have a c-section, but
not having had one before.
Not only is she now wireless....26 Jul 2006 22:16 GMT28
our Angelina is now home!!!!!
Pulling off those last tubes and wires was a wondrous occassion!
At 17 days old, her doctors and nurses decided they could part with her
bright shining eyes, pug nose and huge smile and it was time to share
If you had a kid in NICU, how did you manage not to freak out once you brought them home?26 Jul 2006 21:21 GMT34
I was all prepared to be a non-paranoid mom. Now my baby's sick (but
getting MUCH better), and as desperate as I am to have her home, I'm
starting to panic a bit. I try to ignore the monitors at the NICU, but
they've become a source of comfort in a way and I realize I look to
Argument to insurance company for home birth?26 Jul 2006 17:30 GMT14
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to make an argument to their
insurance company (in the U.S.) about the medical necessity of a home
birth.  I ask because my husband and I are planning to ttc in the fall,
and are currently thinking about what impact this has on open
