39 weeks 3 days checkup30 Jun 2007 17:41 GMT4
Saw my midwife today. Everything looks good. Due date is Tuesday
I've been comfortable the last couple days, which is weird because this
pregnancy has been REALLY uncomfortable most of the time. It turns out the
baby has turned and now his/her back is facing the wrong way. I guess ...
ART GALLERY  PROJECT BY PHOTOGRAPHER. SUBJECT: STRETCH MARKS30 Jun 2007 15:45 GMT1
A couple of years ago, there was a movie out called Little Children
starring Kate Winslet. I was reading a review of the movie and the
writer mentioned "how brave" Kate was to show her stretch marks.
That one sentence really knocked me for a loop. It never occurred to
When to start nursery30 Jun 2007 15:16 GMT8
Skia Louise was born on 10th May in the pool of the midwife-led birthing
unit, Cambridge. All went well and, as planned, the only pain relief was
less than an hour of gas-and-air during transition. Thank you for all
your advice re: place of birth and first names. I've meant to ...
crib mattress issue30 Jun 2007 04:33 GMT12
So, we have our crib and a crib mattress.  Problem, naturally.  Seems
our crib (which is very pretty and I *love*) only has one level for
the crib mattress.  I guess lots have two levels, and you start in the
higher position and then lower it when the kid gets older and wants to
Baby has lots of gas30 Jun 2007 01:46 GMT3
What can I do to reduce gas for baby? He's on dairy formula and *some*
breastmilk. We were thinking of trying a soy based formula? Does that
sound reasonable?
Complaining pregnant women28 Jun 2007 08:50 GMT1
I had my first baby in February and I never met so many unhappy
pregnant women. I was so happy and felt so lucky to be pregnant. Some
of the ladies I met just complained about how fat they looked. I
couldnt deal, I didnt want to be rude, but I wanted to tell them
No Wrap Shower28 Jun 2007 08:39 GMT37
We are expecting 100+ guests at our baby shower.  Is their a
polite, acceptable way to ask that gifts not be wrapped?  We we
thinking a gift table to display the gifts, so people can view as they
please throughout the shower.  We would also spend a half hour or so
miscarriage & TTC27 Jun 2007 13:44 GMT6
I have just had a m/c at 5 1/2 weeks - DH says everything he has read
suggests waiting for 2-3 months before ttc again but I don't ever
recall anything concrete regarding this despite 3 ish years of lurking
here.  Is there any indication that we should wait (especially given
When should I expect my period?25 Jun 2007 18:11 GMT1
Hey guys.
I was royally stupid this month. I waited until two weeks after my
period to begin my birth control, which means there's a good chance I
could be pregnant this month.
marital life post partum25 Jun 2007 01:01 GMT33
ok other mommies I need some help.  I have a 7 mos old critter at home
and I have very little to no sex drive.  I'm fairly confident it has
more to do with being absolutely exhausted all the time.  My husband
has begun to hound me about "getting" sex.  Which makes me feel like

Questions about baby shower23 Jun 2007 10:43 GMT6
I moved to another country when I got married, nearly 2 yrs ago, but for
different reasons I haven't learnt fluently the language (German) yet. So, I
have only 3-4 proper friends, that's including my mother in law, who speak
English (or Spanish, that's my mother tongue).
double uterus23 Jun 2007 01:41 GMT1
just wanted to tell all those women who have just learned they have
double uterus and probably double cervix and vagina and are pregnant,
that it is possible to have a healthy baby despite this malformation.
I learned I had it when I was 27 and half a year later, after I got

Where to buy formula?22 Jun 2007 15:01 GMT1
After a couple of weeks my wife is getting discouraged regarding
breast feeding. We've been supplementing with formula. That said,
where is a good place to buy formula? We've been getting it at
Walmart. Others have said Costco, but I'm not sure if buying a
