trying for a girl12 Jul 2007 19:21 GMT4
we're ttc and I'd really like a girl.  Yes I know of course I'll love
whatever I get, but no harm in trying hey?  Well from what I understand the
boy sperms are the super efficient ones but they don't last long whereas the
girl sperms are more durable so they can hang around.  So ...
Double stroller -- thoughts?12 Jul 2007 17:22 GMT25
My two kids are 2 years 4 months, and ten weeks old. I thought we
could get away with not getting a double stroller for a variety of
reasons (I use a wrap for the baby, toddler rarely rode anyway, of
course that was before baby got here!, etc) but I think I was wrong

Newborn and sleep12 Jul 2007 12:30 GMT23

go to sleep. Sometimes he'll go to sleep when putting him in his crib
at night, but othertimes he doesn't so usually what we've found that
works very well is a sitting him on the dryer (in his car seat) and
Baby Jack!10 Jul 2007 16:50 GMT16
Jack Stacy B. was born at 8:21 pm on 7/7/07.
Went into labor at 3:40. Contractions were irregular and slowed down if I
sat down. Talked to the midwife at 5:30. She was just finishing at another
homebirth and said to try to sit down and see if they slowed down because

Postpartum birth control09 Jul 2007 00:10 GMT3
4 weeks after delivery, baby is mainly bottle feeding, getting about
5% from breast milk.
Re birth control, wife and I are too afraid about the mini-pill. Seems
to be fully effective, it has to be taken same time each day, and last
Mommys groups08 Jul 2007 21:21 GMT15
Are those Mommy's groups, and stay at home Mom's clubs etc usually such
pains in the butt to deal with? I have contacted 2 in my area to join - I
live on the edge of a county and all my daughter's pediatricians, her park
that she loves to go (which is just 5 minutes from our home ...
Recommendations for GYN in Boston/Cambridge/Somerville?08 Jul 2007 17:53 GMT1
Can you recommend a good GYN in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area?
I prefer a woman.
Other than a moderate prolapse that I got after my second delivery
(which seems to be getting better), I don't have any particular
what did you do to plan for a pregnancy (particularly if you are expecting a difficult one)08 Jul 2007 17:47 GMT6
My first two weren't unplanned, but we conceived very quickly after
deciding to try for a baby (about 3 days first time, 3 weeks 2nd time),
so about the only planning I did was getting some folic acid. I've
recently discovered that the advice seems to be to take that for 3mths
June due dates, how are you holding up?06 Jul 2007 21:59 GMT13
Do we have any June due dates still hanging around? If so, it's not
going to be much longer now ;-)

Is pressure normal?05 Jul 2007 23:33 GMT1
Pressure, not like psychological pressure or strain... :) But, pressure as
in *physical* pressure?
For the past 3-4 days I have noticed my hip joints hurting a bit, especially
my left. It's like I don't feel too comfortable sitting and I want to stand
Getting nervous04 Jul 2007 03:18 GMT2
Ah, I'm due due until December, but I'm already getting nervous that
something will be worse this time than with DD (which was reasonably fine
and not too bad, at least, from what my mind remembers- lol).
I am showing so much more than I was at this time with DD, which the doctor
due date today04 Jul 2007 00:17 GMT6
I know it isn't very common to have your baby on the due date. I hope this
baby decides to be different. ;)
I didn't feel this impatient last time, but I also wasn't as uncomfortable
last time. Every time I go to sleep I think maybe I'll wake up in labor!
