Baby fetus 8 months old - is it normal to have a "shunt"?15 Nov 2007 09:37 GMT3
At my last ecograph (done twice with two different specialists) I was
told that everything was normal. However, we made a movie of the
entire examination and I found out my baby's heart has one extra
"opening" - a shunt I'd say - the existence of this supplementary

Would like to discuss with anyone else near this age and trying to
conceive.
We have two previous births (19 and 17 now).  Have been trying for

Post-partum depression advice needed14 Nov 2007 04:43 GMT9
A friend who just had a baby by c-section in Boston was starting to
feel quite down and overwhelmed a few days after being discharged from
the hospital (she considers herself as having a depressive nature
anyway).
Gah12 Nov 2007 19:37 GMT7
Well, I'm 37 weeks + 5 days now, and the baby just turned transverse
while I was sorting baby clothes.  This is not what I need right now.
I went onto all fours and shoved the head back down again, but it kept
bobbing round into transverse.  Now that I've got up and walked
should I have DD at the birth?12 Nov 2007 10:29 GMT14
I've got a while to make the decision, but I'm trying to figure out what to
do with DD when I have the baby.  She'll be 2 years, 3 months or thereabouts
at the time.  We moved interstate a few years ago and hence all our family
and close friends are a long way away.  We've made ...
April roll call12 Nov 2007 00:38 GMT4
This group seems somewhat moribund, but then I can't say I've been an
active participant either.  A few years ago when I was here pregnant
with the Bug it was pretty hopping.  Let's see if this gets anything
going.
Potty :)12 Nov 2007 00:04 GMT3
Hiya
Jessica (16 months) has been hinting for a little while that she wants to
use a potty - but that was somewhat more defined today when she took her
trousers and nappy (pull up style) off and wee'd in the bin! lol, bless her.

Pregnant Hairdresser09 Nov 2007 22:15 GMT2
My wife is pregnant and a hairdresser.  The issue of chemical use and
whatnot has come up quite a bit of times.  I wish there was a list of
products that are deemed 'unsafe' to pregnant women. Does anyone know
of such lists? Thanks in advance.

Pregnancy week by week02 Nov 2007 21:25 GMT1
You can be pregnent only around ovulation which occurs 14 days before
the start of the next expected period aound the mid-point of a typical
28 day menstrual cycle. Your egg is viable for about 48hrs. You can
improve your chances of conceiving by recognising  the changes in your
