| Evening Primrose Oil? | 28 Jan 2009 14:45 GMT | 6 |
I've kind of been looking around a little and I've come up with a few hits that this evening primrose oil might be something that can start labor. I can't really find much info on it, though. One site said something about it can help to "naturally ripen the cervix" and also ...

| Diaper bag - check | 24 Jan 2009 06:21 GMT | 2 |
Well, I have it, for the most part, mostly packed and ready to go to the hospital. I bought myself a brand new diaper bag this evening and I really like it. It's a little "set" with a big diaper bag, a small hand one and also has some changing package thing... Whatever, I'm not ...

| Unusual names | 20 Jan 2009 02:27 GMT | 33 |
Hi all! I know we already have one "names" thread going but it got me thinking that this is the place to go for advice. We found out this week that we are having a boy. I want to find a name that is unusual. My RL name is common and I have always hated that. So my question is . . . ...

| Doula Dilemma | 17 Jan 2009 05:42 GMT | 19 |
So... I waited until last second to realize that I'm running out of time. Seeing as I'm still a happily single mom, and due in a month, I just wasn't really thinking too much about the future. I have decided that I'm fairly confident that I do NOT want N around at all,

| Where did my stomach go? | 16 Jan 2009 21:29 GMT | 6 |
Yes, I know this is going to sound weird, but I'm just wondering... Google hasn't been very helpful with this one, but I'm wondering where your stomach normally goes during pregnancy? Up? Down? Behind or to one side? I can't seem to find any pictures or info on this, but I've ...

| Babies and Sign Language | 15 Jan 2009 20:54 GMT | 7 |
I have been teaching my 16 month old sign language for the last 4 months or so. Does anyone else use sign with their babies? My mom thinks it will slow her talking down. Do you think it stunts their verbal skills?

| Safe to do 'harder' work? | 13 Jan 2009 22:56 GMT | 2 |
I have about 3.5 weeks left to go, and I'm wondering what kind of work might be too much. There's like 300 feet of snow outside right now. Well, not quite that much, but I'd guess that there's probably about 6"-8" of snow on the sidewalks out

| Support hose and varicose veins | 08 Jan 2009 20:54 GMT | 2 |
I had my 28-week appointment today, and my midwife says I really should start wearing support hose. He wrote me a prescription for either thigh-highs or the full maternity hose. The full hose is better, he says, considering where my problem areas are, but the thigh-
