So how are you doing with that bullet, toots?
My DH is on his way home.  Without his unemployed 22 year old son.  Not that
anyone suggested his coming here.  Still, I kept thinking about how his
relationship is pretty shaky, he quit his job, it's freezing there and warm

That's what it is in my house.  Lee's a poor broken wretch.  I just hurt
everywhere, but I don't seem to have a cold, so who knows?
Meanwhile, DH is with SKs - see this is on topic - back east.  He was supposed
to leave Friday.  Then Saturday.  Then Sunday.  Now the plan is today.  ...
Need some advice yet again09 Dec 2003 19:56 GMT29
Hey folks!!
Hope everything is well in step parent land!  ;)
Anyway,  as a step parent,  how would you all deal with catching your step

Am I Stepfather Material?08 Dec 2003 21:53 GMT11
I've been dating a widow for two years. Her son is now 5. Her deceased
husband's family are very active in our life. I feel like there is not
really a "place" or "hole" for me to fit or fill and that I am not
respected. I feel like my life is out of my control because I'm

Thanks for recommending "Bad Santa".  OMG, we laughed so hard we were crying.
I don't think we have laughed harder at a movie since we saw "Meet the
Parents".  One of the things that was especially funny to us (among many) was
that my SD asks us many of the same questions that ...
SD Pregnant....... Again.05 Dec 2003 08:37 GMT39
Well then. I posted a couple of years ago about my very young
(15 at the time) SD who got pregnant and had a baby.
The baby isn't so little anymore, 18 months old and my SD has
been with her boyfriend (not the father) since she was born.
How to tell when you have had enough........03 Dec 2003 20:49 GMT4
Is there any way a person truly knows when they have "had enough" of it?  As
a step-parent, I feel as though I have tried, I have failed, and therefore I
quit!
Some background on my situation:

Well since no one is in crisis, what's everyone doing?
DH went back east to see his kids, and he'll be gone for a couple of weeks.
Lee has become a vegetarian.  So we're cooking here Wednesday with my
vegetarian SIL on Wednesday.  Chestnut stuffing.  Vegetarian gravy, I really

Geri, do you know anything/much about the Philosophy line of cosmetics?

Not a happy puppy....01 Dec 2003 12:20 GMT91
Well, phone rang at 7:30pm. Not a usual occurrence. We
just don't get phone calls. It's youngest SS. He wants
to come out here *now*. Why? Troubles with his girlfriend.
I am not happy...
