Finally met SD29 Oct 2004 17:15 GMT3
(Posted via Google, since my ISP is fried.)
So in the spirit of disrupting the quiet: I finally met SD.
About a month ago my in-laws were in town, and they wanted to treat
the whole family to lunch.  They were quite explicit that the "whole

read Calinda"s posting.  Sounds like you have a keeper there, hopefully just
reassuring him that he has every right to his input and that it is
appreciated will calm his guilt.  In my particular case my SO and ...
Is everyone doing okay?  No new SPing posts!29 Oct 2004 16:58 GMT49
I was wondering what the heck has happened to the group here.  Is
everyone doing that well, so that there's been no need to post?  Or has
the election taken over the daily lives to the point that everyone is too
busy to post?

Interesting Legal and Financial Question27 Oct 2004 05:29 GMT11
Inspired by Prenup thread.
"Do StepParents have rights?"
I think the answer is no.
I think that there is no legal relationship between the SP and the SK unless
Another political joke26 Oct 2004 16:49 GMT9
A man died and went to Heaven. As he stood in front  of St. Peter at the
Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. Curious, he asked,
"What are all those clocks?" St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks.
Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the ...

divorce settlement VENT21 Oct 2004 01:01 GMT26
I just got off the phone with my ex.  I'm HUGELY pissed off and need
to vent.
Background:  When our divorce was final in 9/98, part of the written
agreement was that I'd receive a $7K settlement as my portion of the

Same Age Or Near As SK?18 Oct 2004 14:37 GMT4
I had posted about my step-DIL the other day.
My step-DIL and I are only 7 years apart.
Are any women here close in age to a
SD or S-DIL?
keep the SPs and Sks separate?18 Oct 2004 01:38 GMT143
I was wondering what do you think as far as having 2 households for when SKs
visit.
If you're a SM, or SF, your husband or wife would have to go see her/his
kids in another house and spend time with them and take care of them,
Cute but concerning?16 Oct 2004 06:12 GMT3
My almost 8 y/o SD has a new thing that she is doing.
when the baby cries, she cries.
she says that she feels so bad that she just has to cry for her, now I
could see if the baby fell and got hurt, I would cry too...;(

I am interested to know how you all workaround or accommodate the different
parenting styles that happen in Shared custody homes..  My SO has a 10 year old
son that we have generally one night per weekend and for half the school
holidays.. He is a fairly good and well adjusted to ...
