Another blow-up between DD and her dad's GF28 Jan 2006 18:59 GMT7
Last night my kids (DD17 and DS15) were at their dad's. Around 10pm he

leave and walk to my house (3-4 miles?)
Apparently she and dad's GF had had another screaming fight and DD

My neighbor has just moved his elderly step-mother into his home.  His
father passed away two years ago and she can't live on her own anymore.

arrangement and takes it as a personal insult.  I'm thinking next

Step Son's attitude - Any suggestions ??20 Jan 2006 00:28 GMT49
My Step Son's attitude (14 years old) has gotten progressively worse over
the last several months.  The last several weeks have been the worse and
he seems to be getting worse by the day!  Some of our current "problems":
Nasty and rude comments are the norm.  Told to do or not do ...
Step parent at odds19 Jan 2006 18:31 GMT26
My partner and I are co-parenting a ten year old. I became involved in
the child's life just after she turned eight. We live together in a
very nice home and for the most part everything "works". What isn't
working is that we have different ideas of what parenting is. If my
Step Mom Blues19 Jan 2006 18:05 GMT4
I am a step-mother of 2 and a biological mother of 4. My husband and I have
been married for a year and a half but have been together for 3 years.

A dad by any other name19 Jan 2006 17:57 GMT5
Hello group,
I'm about to marry a terrific woman with three great kids.  Their
father is a decent guy, albeit a bit uninvolved in their lives IMHO.
As my relationship with these kids (ages 6, 6, and 8) has deepened they

A different kind of Holiday10 Jan 2006 21:49 GMT3
This year's Christmas is going to be different.  For once we're going to
stay home.  No running off to try and visit everyone.  We're not dealing
with any extended family until I fly out to see my parents for a few
days on the 27th.  SS isn't seeing his mother or any of her ...
